Would the internet have a shop manual for a 2000 S80? I would love a pdf / link.

Or is that something that's typically not available?

Ideally you would get a copy of VIDA, Vehicle Information and Diagnostic for Aftersales. It's software that runs on your computer, and has all of the parts diagrams, and factory service instructions and all of the procedures that the shop would use. (It IS what the shop used.) You should be able to find a copy on eBay. 2014D was the last standalone version produced, after which you need to purchase an online subscription. (If your car is prior to 2014, I think the local version will do just fine.)

The other item you might want to look for is a DiCE. I don't know what the acronym stands for, but it's an interface box between your computer (running VIDA) and your car. It plugs into a USB port and the OBD2 port on the car. With that, you can use VIDA to read any trouble codes, and then look up what they mean in the Volvo service manual.

Most of the people selling a DiCE on eBay include the VIDA software at no extra cost.
