01 S80, Sunroof, Map lights, Sun Visor Lights inoperational

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

A million thanks to anyone in advance, that can help me track down a solution to my problem. The vehicle is a 2001 S80. The problem is as follows. A couple of days ago,...I had to jump the battery. I had left the key on accessory a bit too long...battery was too weak to start the car. Afterwards, the sunroof, map lights, and sunvisor lights were inoperational. I referred to the owners manual for assistance in checking the fuses. Ultimately, every single fuse checked out great. I even checked the battery just to make sure that it was hot. Everything checks out great. Any ideas,..anyone....? Again, thanks in advance.

I have a '99 S80 and like you, my battery died... I recharged it and vualla.. the map lights, sunroof, visor lights and the key fob all quit working!! this is so frustrating... I have checked the fuses... I just do not know where to go next with this thing...
If it ain't broke... do NOT mess with it!

I took the car to a local shop that works on Volvo,& VW's. The car's computer had to be reset. The shop put it on their computer, and reset everything. Everything works great now. This is, with out a doubt, the most annoying beautiful piece of machinary that I have ever driven. The car is so nice,...but it is a pain to own. Never again Volvo.
