Unfortunately I bring bad news. My 960, that my husband was driving and the first volvo I ever owned it sitting in a junkyard off I-95 in New Jersey. And of course it was right in between my NY and PA homes, so go figure it was the same price to tow it in both directions. So I was driving home from PA back to NY when I got off to get gas. Had just been getting close to 500mi/tank too, when I was sitting at a light, and the car didn't want to accelerate. It finally got going and I just thought it was a bad stutter like it always had, so I shut it off, filled it up and when I went to start it again, it spun too fast. I pushed it away from the pump and looked under the hood. Timing belt in shreds. Funny, I was going to replace it when I got home. It had been done twice. at 77k miles, 135k miles and I was about to do it again at about 188k miles. I thought 50k miles is more than reasonable for a car I had had no real problems with at all. I'll certainly miss it, but did I wait too long to do it? The whole kit replaced every time too. Lucky for me I have 4 more volvos.
