Changing to powerseats

Post by Brulkjaer »

Hi,
I've bougth a powerseat (driver-site) for our V70N (MY2001).
It comes from a V70N 2001 or 2003).

Now it's powered with 12V and 12V switched. The powerseat works for 38 sec, and then stops to work. After deconnecting and connecting again 12V +, the powerseat works for 38 sec. again.

Two canbus cables on the seat (white and green, connector B) aren't connected. I don't see connections therefore in the car (under the seat.

How can I make the powerseats continues work?

That time period sounds right for a thermal overheat switch in a motor, with disconnecting resetting it,

Have you tried moving it for 5 seconds, waiting a minute, then trying again.

If it is still shutting down then it a Comm problem , and VIDA will tell you where

Hi Abscate,

Yes, after 5 seconds, it's still shutting down. Yes, I believe it is a Canbus problem. But how to resolve it.
I'll look into Vida and hope to see the problem.
I guess, the node from the powerseat 'broadcasts' on the canbus network, but becomes no answer from the CEM.

Now the chair works correctly.

On the P80s, programing is a two finger salute. Press and hold [Mem] + [1], [2] or [3]. Like copying to the clipboard on a PC.
To test move the seat out of position then press the programed number.

If that does not work, the wires near the switches tend to break.
