Tranny Fluid in Canada V70 2004

Post by sony2000 »

I've been trying to seek out the best place to buy the 3309 type tranny fluid. Esso, known as Imperial Oil of Canada sells a JWS 3309 Transmisson Fluid which is Mobil in a different bottle. We have Mobil engine oils, but not the sought after 3309. Unfortunately the gas stations are the only common outlets for Esso Products. I had to go to Toyota. Their latest ATF is called T4. Designed for, operation in low temperatures, smooth shifting and long life at, $7.00 CDN a liter. The partsman had heard it was costing Volvo customers $80 CDN for a jug of 4.4 litres. Soon I will go to my aftermarket mechanic to discuss changing my ATF to Toyota T4, and using the way described in the forum for a complete change. In low temperatures these days, its the transmissions that suffer more than the engines, because the engines have synthetic oil!
