Drilling down (with the help of google)...
What is this compound in Mcdonalds French Fries they speak of?
-Anti-foaming agent added to fry oil. Google says "silly putty, original formula developed during WWII"
What is in silly putty that is also used as a food grade anti-foaming agent?
-Polydimethylsiloxane
What is Polydimethylsiloxane?
-Silicone Oil, also referred to as "PDMS"
I grabs a can of silicone lubricant I happen to have on hand. Noting brand and product name, I look up the MSDS for "WD-40 water resistant silicone lubricant"
Ingredients listed on MSDS:
1. LVP Petroleum Solvent (aka petroleum ether, should boil off between 80-100 degrees Celsius)
2. Polydimethylsiloxane, 1-5% by weight.
3. propane, n butane (propellant, evaporates at room temperature)
LOL, no I'm not going to put WD40 on my head. Can't say I'm not tempted though.
So you're telling me potential inexpensive cure for baldness has been just sitting in my tool cabinet this entire time?
