Getting some work done on my 94 840 NA here tomorrow. Anyone know anything about Tremaine's Auto in Moraine?
I'm going with this guy because I've called him and he's offered me free (and accurate) advice, seems to have a really good idea what he's doing, and (get this) runs a Volvo-only repair shop that's been in business for 50+ years. To me, if you can keep a shop that only works on Volvos open for 50 years, you probably know what you're doing, and you probably charge a decent rate. I think his hourly is $80 - which in general seems high to me, but for a Volvo mechanic is fairly cheap in my experience.
Does anyone on here have experience with Tremaine's that could give me an honest review? Tbh I'm most worried about price - the way the guy talks I feel more than comfortable having him work on issues I'm not equipped for or lack the knowledge to do myself.

For any Volvo fans in the area. I can't say anything about their work, because I didn't go through them (I'm broke, sorry). But from what I can tell you, these guys seem legit. Everything they told me was wrong with my Volvo was actually needing done. Their rates are about $90-$100 an hour, so they're pricy, but if I would've had the cash, I would've had them do it just to save me the hassle.
So I can't speak to the quality of the work, but they're at least an ethical mechanic that isn't going to make you spend money on things you don't need.
