Preface: When I bought the car, airbox was removed and replaced with a Spectre conical air filter bolted to the MAF. I got some, but not all parts to the original airbox. PO manufactured a flange to bolt to the MAF and mount the filter, and apparently siliconed everything together. So I've been cleaning and re-oiling the filter with it still attached to the MAF. The filter is starting to deteriorate, and instead of replacing it, would much rather reinstall the stock airbox.
I know I am missing the cold air snorkel (this part) that attaches to the bottom of the box and runs toward the radiator. I am unsure if I'm missing anything else. I believe I have everything else after the MAF. Here's pics of what I have.
I believe this is the cold air scoop that mounts by the radiator. The snorkel then attaches to this, correct?
I have the bottom of the box.
Does this directly attach to the bottom of the airbox at the port pictured above? And then does the other end of the snorkel attach to this?
I have the top of the box. Does the MAF connect directly to here or is there some other spacer in between?
Lastly, what is this hose for? I have been unable to find any documentation of it anywhere.
I only have the bottom of the box on hand. The rest of the pieces are being shipped to my current location (had them in storage), otherwise I would just test fit and figure it out. I tried searching for documentation on the turbo airbox, but all I found were mods and documentation for NA models. And all the Turbo airboxes I've seen, none of them have that hose. So am I missing anything important? Nothing appears to have any cracks in it.
Edit: Images didn't work so links will have to do.

You need a sealing insert at the MAF, like a big soft washer. The air hose is for the air pump, lots of turbos have an air pump but presumably (hopefully) yours doesn't and you can ditch the hose and plug the hole.
Everything else you have right. NA and turbo boxes are the same shape and piping to the rad intake, except for no cold air flap inside the turbo box. I can give you the missing parts if you can't get them easily, but shipping to Canada may make that inefficient.

I still have the air pump. It generally doesn't work and I do not believe it's connected to anything. I'll pull the hose and cap the elbow. Is there a p/n for the MAF seal?erikv11 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2018, 03:25 You need a sealing insert at the MAF, like a big soft washer. EDIT: Can confirm the air pump does nothing. Unplugged, no hoses connected to it, looks like there might be one intact vacuum hose running to it. Strange that I have an intermittent P0410 code. Maybe someone did the SAS delete mod but didn't solder in the diode very well.

Could be or a wrong or bad diode.
You have all the parts and if you are stuck I have a complete turbo box somewhere in the garage which I think was from a 98 if memory serves me. Although in Canada not sure if you are in Canada and where, but shipping could be a factor.
I'll not be able to get to the Vida computer for part numbers, but try some of the on-line US Volvo dealers as they have pretty good detailed parts listings.
Neil.

I think this is gonna work out with what I've got. Nothing some duct tape and silicone won't be able to fix. Thinking I'll get some dryer exhaust tubing to substitute for the cold air snorkel. Hoping I can find a rubber cap at hardware store to cover that elbow. If not I'll rig something with duct tape.scot850 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2018, 14:48 Could be or a wrong or bad diode.

Searched about two dozen Volvo part sites now. Can't find the MAF sensor o-ring. I see it mentioned, but no part number and haven't found one for sale.

By far your best bet is junkyard, or parts car. It probably only comes as part of the airbox.

What I'm thinking I will have to do. Called a few Volvo dealers to see if they could look up the part, and they all said they no longer carry P80 parts in their parts catalogue. I assume turbo and non-turbo use identical O-rings? Not sure why this wouldn't come with a new MAF sensor, as rubber O-rings obviously wear out over time. If I knew the exact measurements, I might be able to source a similar one from somewhere else.

I have a spare MAF for my car and can measure the Oring. I think the 99 air box is the same as the 98?
Maybe?
Maybe?
