Sounds from the cockpit - 2006 V 70 2.4 base

So I notice on start up while still at idle what sounds like somebody trying to squirt washer fluid about 6-10 times in what seems to be an entirely random sequence, but it happens every time I start the car.

Second thing, in today's brutal cold -- high of about +16F -- I noticed what sounded like a spray paint rattle can shaker when I spun the wheel in tight quarters maneuvering on take off. Any thoughts as to what theses various sounds could be?

Based on another post by Oragex I think this is a bad brake booster check valve. (Brake booster pump switch?)

Its normal on first startup for vac pump to cycle a few times.

I'd check the steering fluid.

Have someone steer the wheel in park as you watch the pump and acc belt .

Park on gravel or grass or lift the car before you start turning the wheels back and forth. Bad for tyres and servo to steer while standing still on a hard surface.

I've got a few spray can rattle noises from the dash on cold start as well. Been the same for two years so I've just stopped listening.
