Not sure if this counts since I did it two weeks ago and not today

My dash went dark and completely dead on me so I re-balled the DIM last weekend...
Changed the 5-Volt regulator and all 13 bulbs too.

Flying this thing blind was not fun at all

Stupid P2 tricks Part 3

I've wondered why my seat buttons occasionally went INOP but in all the research for the leather reskin I did, I learned that if you push any two commands on the power seat, the controller shuts off both actions.

I wonder how many times Ive tried adjusting the seat and bumped both buttons?

This seat button story just reminded me of the lady who kept bringing her P2 back to the stealership to have the driver seat looked at. Every other day or so.
The reoccurring problem: "Customer concerns: Customer getting pinned against the steering wheel by the seat moving forward all by itself."
The Techs did everything they could and were unable to duplicate the problem. So, they ended up replacing parts: first the wiring harness, then a few control modules here and there, and finally they swapped entire driver seat – all to no avail.

The customer came back again... That day, when she opened the door to get out, the Tech noticed that the customer's but was overhanging the seat control push buttons, and that's how he found the culprit.

I would think that Volvo implemented the Seat Control Lockout Feature because of that 'problem'...

Oh, I forgot to mention that the customer weighed about 400 Pounds.

Since Volvo was a fully Swedish company still when the P2 platform was designed I doubt that customer was anywhere near within design parameters :-)

I've been admiring my own car all day. Washed it thoroughly last night and added wipeless silica sealant and today where ever I park it just pops out from it's surroundings with its clean, deep, shine. Most other cars look like shit this time of year and mine will again soon but until then I'm enjoying walking towards it every time.

After four Nor Easter’s this March I’m leaving my snows on for a while

I dropped and lubricated the climate motor

We just had a bunch of snow today. Should be spring by now. Oh well.

A lot of people out today were driving like they'd taken the winter tyres off though.

I can imagine the rough ride on bare wheels with no tyres...
