Key fob grinding noise?

I have a 2007 S80. Beginning a couple of years ago, I started to occasionally notice that when I try to eject my key fob from the dashboard, there would be a grinding/buzzing noise, like it didnt want to give me the key back. I would try to eject it again and it would work fine. This only happened on rare occasion, and normally it would work fine on the first eject attempt. Since then, I have noticed this issue happening with a very slightly increasing frequency. Now, it probably happens about once a week or so. Also, sometimes when this happens it takes more than the original 2 attempts to eject it. Anyone know whats going on? Is there something wrong with the mechanism inside the dashboard slowly wearing down?
