Reproducing wagon spoiler brackets

Post by Kara503 »

Been looking for quite some time now, and I can't seem to find the little secondary brackets for mounting an 850/v70 wagon spoiler. Nowhere on ebay, no dealers stock the kit, and no junkyards near me seem to have a wagon with a spoiler to pull from. A good pic available here-

Most spoilers on ebay have the main L bracket included (Uppermost piece in the pic). None of them have the small H piece or the main bracket pieces pictured in the middle. Do we know of anyone who has tried reproducing these? Are they required for mounting? Does anyone have a set they could get full measurements on so I can try and model them up? I have access to a machine shop at work, would be a fun project!

I tried ordering from Jurgen in Germany and he never shipped. He was great at communication up to the point of actually following through with the part. I found him randomly on my own and just came across this thread here. I know it's old, but wanted to warn buyers. I had to get PayPal involved and got my money back. He has since pulled his storefront.

If someone can provide a set of brackets to measure, we can look at adding them as a product at GoVo Engineering. My small web store that has been selling P1 ECU Spacers for many years. Can someone send me a set of brackets for about a week or two? Will pay S&H both ways.

There are 2 different sets/styles of these brackets. The later/newer brackets are 1 piece. Those would probably be best to replicate.

Dumb question. Are these the preferred newer style?

I have a set that must be the one piece style. They hook to the hinge then bolt to the spoiler.

Cool, would you be willing to part with them temporarily?
Thanks,
Jason

Hi, I have a spoiler on my 98 V70 that should work. If you are still willing to look at reproducing them, I can take them off and get them sent to you.
