Just seeing that picture makes me want to go back to Denver and stay forever. Please stop. Or post some more. Everybody everywhere walks around all smiles and full of life out there. Unlike Chicago where acting out mental cases and a scowl is the norm. Northern Indiana is only marginally better.

It's not the same as it was in late 1970s. Cities like Loveland and Ft Collins have seen large increase in retirees from California, who have caused real estate prices to go ballistic.

Same in Oregon, September 04, 2015 'No Californians' stickers being slapped on For Sale signs in Portland - "A lot of these homes are going into bidding wars and going over ask price," Irvine said. "And a lot of these guys are getting outbid. And I think they're going around to agents who have properties that have sold over ask price and putting anti-California stickers."...."They're basically blaming Californians for raising their real estate prices."

Real estate taxation is high in California, and low in Colorado....and there is even bidding wars in Colorado...over asking price.

In the seventies, one could drive from Loveland and Ft Collins on old hwy 287 in ten minutes...now, 30 minutes or more, with traffic lights, strip malls, housing, etc.

Go west...to Montana:-)
