With the SC-900 surround sound only works with CD and tape, it does not work with the radio. That is not going to work for Darkfleet.

The S/V SC-900 has fixed equalizer curves, S70-V70-S40-V40.
The S/V SC-901 has equalizer curves S70-V70-S40-V40-Custom.
My C70 SC-901 has only two equalizer curves Coupe & Custom.
With the Custom EQ of the SC-901 you will be able to taylor the EQ to any car or to preference.

Do you have the S/V or the C version of the SC-901?

Great info thanks, that's seem to line up with what I have been reading.

If you want the Radio Data System (RDS) to work make sure it is a North American version.

No idea. I am using it in a S70 and seems to recall it had a configuration option for that.

If there is a configuration option to switch from RDS (Europe) to RBDS (North America), it is news to me.

Looks like Showell is correct. I found a hidden menu that will switch the SC-901 between markets. Mine will do Markets US, EU & AUS.

I meant option to configure V70 versus S70 and custom. I do know that mine displays radio station, artist, song title, but it is somewhat rudimentary in that regard.
