Safe to Charge Battery Indoors?

Hydrogen dissipates really quickly by dashing off into atmosphere and then heading out to space where it becomes stars, it will blow up, but the only thing left in the universe by then will be random P0455 codes floating in space

Seriously though. A battery that had been properly flat won't ever be reliable again as a starter so just get a new one straight away.

And check the car to figure out why it went flat. Unless you just had the car sitting for a few months in which case it's quite normal for it to be drained

Yep I’ve charged a different battery years ago and it did take a few years
Volvo 850 GLT 1995

5 Speed Manual transmission

122,500 miles and barely broken in

I have brought starter batteries back from deep dead. It does take more time then most people can be without a battery.

They will never be anywhere near as good as new. They aren't designed to discharge more than a few percent. So it's a question of how much you value reliability vs cost.

As long as the recovered battery is starting the car reliability, is as good as new. One of my recovered batteries is in my S90. It is reliable.

Good that it works for you. I still wouldn't risk it and I wouldn't recommend anyone else to do so. The batteries take damage from deep discharge. If that turns out to be an issue depends on what it's used for I guess. I'm not risking standing in the middle of the forest in winter with a flat battery.

I'm done with figuring it out, trying to see if it will work or not. Time is too precious. I called AAA they replaced it for free.

Thank you all for your input however.
