Air filter part numbers?

Post by Durenol »

Looking to replace the engine and cabins air filters in an 07 xc70. Do these have a model or part number or code of some kind I can use to make sure I'm getting the right ones?

Our vendors IPD FCP and Eeeuro all have great part finder tools that will give you a OEM, OE , and third party options.

While I'll absolutely go to them for big special things like springs or joints, when it comes to generic "consumables" like bulbs and filters I can get them for half the price and waaaaay faster by buying locally/Amazon.

Does Volvo give any kind of ID numbers for their filters or do you just have to break out a tape measure?

Put your VIN into Volvo parts lisle and the part number will one up. That same site will give you that rear light partnumber you seek, too.

I want to say all P2s use the same air filter part 9454647, but that’s internet information , subject to malaise

You should be Able to give that part number to your FLAPS and get your choice of Mahle Fram AC purolator Hengst KN Mann...I think I got them all. I wonder who makes genuine Volvo air filter?

My last air filter from FCP was $0 with free shipping btw

There are at least two different sizes used on the P2s afaik.

The Volvo filters are probably made by all of the above at different or the same time.

I may just chin into the topic, at least on earlier models there are two different carbon filters, one thinner and one significantly thicker. Just my experience (I stand corrected) but the thicker filter seems to restrict a little the cabin airflow.

The thin filter is supposed to be a non carbon filter. The thick with carbon. There are probably different aftermarket options. The filter housing is usually blocked so that only one slot is available. It can be cut to enable either.

There is a user parameter in Vida that adds air flow compensation for when the thicker carbon filter is used.

I’ve run both cabin air filters on my 2005 without adjusting VIDA with no problem. I do live in a temperate climate

The P2 cabin filter change is harder than the p80, need to be flexible.

Link to P2 cabin filter change. My OEM Volvo was labeled BEHR

I haven't adjusted either. But there is an option for it so a slight difference in slow is probably correct.

The change is harder but not that bad as long as the filter is cut in the right places so it folds in nicely.

OK, haven't heard of that yet. I'm assuming you mean 'volvopartslisle.com'?

Well I can certainly deal with taking a week to get here if it's free, but it doesn't look like that deal is still happening.
