Would you rent your garage to a car enthusiast?

Post by matthew1 »

Would you rent your garage to a car enthusiast for sports car storage over the winter? 4-6 months, something in that range.

I have a spare metal shed I'm not using. It's large enough for cars, and has large swinging doors on the alley side. It was certainly a garage at one time.

Always consider liability aspect...theft, vandals, shed falls on vehicle...a city may have a screwball ordinance...

Rent...if not being used, no.

In a heartbeat. Cash in advance. Sign a release of liability. Get that M56 you’ve been coveting

This method has a longitudinal payoff:-)

The career rise of Susan Wojcicki, who rented her garage to Google's founders in 1998 and is now the CEO of YouTube

In 1998, Susan Wojcicki rented her Menlo Park, California, garage to Sergey Brin and Larry Page for $1,700 per month.

The next year, she would join Google as its 16th employee.

Below is a glimpse at the life of Susan Wojcicki and her rise at Google, from an early employee to YouTube's chief exec.

I see a new internet sensation: carshedbnb.com
Of course there is the risk that they rent your garage and use it to hide getaway car 2 until they rob the bank and come by and stash getaway car 1 and drive off in getaway car 2.
