How to calibrate left-right temperature in Volvo V70 T5 AWD

Post by Snaut »

Hi

I have a 2007 Volvo V70 T5 AWD with ECC. The problem is, that the temperature of the in-blowing air on the left and on the right sides are very different, despite that both temperature knobs are e.g on 22 degrees. How can i calibrate these controllers?

If you have a problem with a 2007 car why are you not talking to the dealer? It is under warranty.

Hehheh, it is not so simply! I live in St Peterburg and there we dont have any adequate Volvo repairs. You must do all service for your self or take the car abroad e.g to Finland for good service.

Well, YOU can't do anything.
If a sensor is bad it has to be replaced and re initialized by the Volvo computer. so off to Finland you go.
Not being close to a dealer, this may have been a poor choice of vehicle for you as EVERYTHING must go thru the computer at the dealer
These cars (and most higher end new cars) have to be fixed via the dealer's computer and Volvo is about the worst in this respect
(Sorry)

Ok, it is sadly if that is so bad for Volvo cars. But, i think it is the same problem for most modern cars, they must be configured through computer interfaces.

But, e.g. for Mercedes-Benz cars there is no problem, there are many tweaks to their car-computers. It is not difficult to connect a laptop to the M-B in-car computer interface. The software and instructions you can find from Internet and through this you can configure many things, even the power effect of their diesel-engines!

So, the question is, does anyone have any hacks for the newer Volvo V70 computer?

Unfortunately, NO...it seems to be a well guarded secret by Volvo.

Okey if so, then we must expose that secresy and make it public. It should not be so difficult, because the same thing has been succesfully done with almost all other cars!

Lets see, you wait a month or one and a half, then i will have the crack! Nothing so far concerning these car-computers have been impossible, so why that should be the case with Volvo cars?

Ok,i thought i could get a quick answer to my problem from this forum, but that seems not to be the case, so i will resolve it in our usual way. I will report the hack on this forum, when resolved.

That will be very interesting. I can't hardly wait....but my suspicion is that I'll wait and wait and wait and wait. Many have tried. None have succeeded.
