Sunroof Rattles 2001 V70
Recently opened the sun shade and sun roof after closing it the roof rattles on the passenger side. Is there a way to easily remove the sunroof and shade to remove this rattle. It is very load and constant. The sunroof has 2 torx screws on the side but they are tight. Any suggestions..
The sunshade clips may be damaged.
It is quite difficult to remove the sunshade, but you can gain access to the front clips from the top when the sunroof is open, but the rear clips are pretty tough to get to.
The sunroof rails also wear out, so when the sunroof is closed, push up on the glass and see if there is any movement. If the bolts are tight, then the rails are probably worn out.
