2006 V-8 Reseting The Child Lock Service Message

2006 V-8 Reseting The Child Lock Service Message

The child lock service message is displayed. Is there a way to re set it. The rear door child locks became activated from closing the rear doors. I reset the locks. After a week or so the service message displayed. Any idea's on how to reset. The battery has been disconnected when replacing the battery. This didn't reset the light.

Why don't you contact an auto locksmith, they will help in resetting it.

Very little on this, might be the lock mechanism, might be software ?

Can see link https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=99814 for one example (XC60).

Would not hurt to have a dealer take a look as to whether it's mechanical or software. Depending on the issue, you might also ask for all the other modules to be updated (free as part of Volvo Service 2.0).
