Nissens Radiators are quite popular among 850 and early 70 series owners. Note that they are a bit different from OEM but you save a ton of money. You can buy them from www.fcpgroton.com. I suggest that you read the following 2 links thoroughly before you buy the part or start the repair:

http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/index.ph ... opic=48132

I know yours is a non-turbo...should be easier actually...less lines to disconnect or the intercooler to contend with. The write-up for the 850 is going to be the same for your S70.

Good luck!

Recently replaced a radiator on son's 855 turbo. Radiator was from fcpgroton and is a good fit. I did have some problems with the oil cooler line(top) not fitting until I took emery or emory?? cloth and opened the hole slightly. I question if the radiator transmission cooler is as good as original. Regardless, I installed an additional transmission oil cooler. Believe the Nissen is a good radiator in spite of a few problems.

I replaced the radiator in my 1997 850 R turbo 2 weeks ago with a replacement radiator purchased from Boston Volvo. If you haven't tried them yet I'd highly suggest you give John Sharisky a call and ask for a price. I figure I paid about $150 more than an off brand but everything fit without any modifications whatsoever.

I'm fairly new to car repairs and I researched everything I could about the replacement job by reading this forum and Volvospeed. I took my time and had my wife lend a hand and it went very smoothly. I had priced a replacement at my local Volvo dealer and I figure I saved at least $400
