We have a 2016 V60 FWD. Time to start thinking about snow tires.
Stock wheels/tires are 215/50/17
I'd like to go narrower and taller to minimize slush-planing and to get a little more bite in deeper snow. That said, most of our driving will be on plowed highways (although Berthoud Pass here in Colorado can get spicy sometimes).
I was looking for a 195 width tire, but I can't find anything in a 195/65/16. I wonder if that'd be too narrow and compromise braking on dry pavement or shiny icy pavement.
It seems like a 205/60/16 is the most logical choice, and readily available.
(Leaning towards the Michelin X Ice btw).
Thoughts?
