This shouldn't be so complicated but it seems like the head of the engine is on the way which doesnt allow the booster to come out, so has anyone replaced the booster without needing to take half of your engine part?
Thanks

I think you RHD guys are seriously screwed by the engine config - whereas we just unbolt.

Yeah sorry it is a RHD configuration... And the booster is hitting one of the tabs of the top section of the head.... Its kind of silly on Volbos parts that you would need to take the head apart to replace something like a brake booster...

Couldn't the upper engine mount be unhooked, than the lower mounts loosened enough to allow the engine to be pulled toward the radiator enough to allow the booster to clear? Or like when removing the frame use that fender engine support tool and lower the subframe and drop the engine down out of the way? From just observation over the years I have seen engines moved around the engine bay both ways on front wheel drive cars. June

Got to hate the RHD - LHD thing. Can't properly design a car for both configurations, so perhaps they design everything for LHD (as in Sweden) then threw in there the RHD items. For example, replacing an evaporator sensor on LHD it's a 2 min. thing. On a RHD it's a dash out thing (well, there is a ghetto mod but anyway). Won't help you knowing this but indeed b booster is a ugly job on P1/P2 RHD cars
Any idea what's wrong the the booster?

Yeah im going try that with the top engine mount see if that would help i just need around 2cm of clearance to get it out...
I dont think there is anything wrong with my booster i just found a low km S70 at the wrecking yard so i thought i would get the booster with the master cylinder as it looked like new but then again its a NA S70 withought TRACS and from what i read the brake master cylinders are different between the TRACS and non-TRACS model, even though i cant really see what the difference would be at the master cylinder end.
