I strategically placed it closer to the garage on the driveway and put the GLT on the other side by a tree. I'd rather the tree fall on the insured car... I'm still waiting on a title for the Miata. But it's a Volvo, so it's a win-win, it won't be damaged anyway.

Cleaned the RR wheel speed sensor and swapped out a Columba with one of my Perfos yesterday. The tread was fine, but there is a nasty bubble on the inside wall of the tire on the Columba that was beginning to rub on something. I really need to just get a new set of tires on my Perfos.

Taking advantage of having the R sitting in the garage during Florence and I'm finally moving forward with this manual swap! Yesterday, I dropped the subframe and AW55, and got the flywheel and clutch installed. Unfortunately it's been a hassle to find a rack and pinion locally (I need a FWD rack to mount the M56 due to the lack of provisions for an AWD-style side mount) but finally I broke down and ordered one from O'Reilly. They're supposed to get it by 2 PM today, but the guy said with this storm it may take another day depending on if they're still getting this shipment down from Greensboro. Which sucks, because I'd like to get the rack swapped out before I get the M56 installed.

The plan today before swapping out the rack is to get the clutch master cylinder mounted while the transmission's out of the way along with some engine bay cleanup. I also need to find a way to clean up the oily, greasy subframe during the rain... it makes it hard to use a pressure washer!

I spray painted the color mismatching left front fender on my 94 T5M (the winter car) and was quite amazed how nice those volvo rattle cans are. I got them from a guy a year ago and they were probably a few years old by then, but they still worked amazingly well and even my wife liked the outcome. I´ve never had that such good success with rattle cans before, especially considering it is metallic blue.

Got the M56 in the R yesterday and got the subframe bolted up and the engine/trans bolted down today. Also pressed in a set of iPd subframe bushing inserts. I still need to replace the front engine mount because it broke in two pieces when I removed it (not surprised at all) but I had to put the suspension together to roll it out of the garage temporarily.
Fortunately the sun came out today and I was able to get the subframe all cleaned up! There's not much I hate more than putting greasy, nasty parts back in a car.
It's getting close. The only real challenge will be finding a '98-2000 clutch pedal.

Is it there? Your PCV should run underneath it or else it will have a huge stress bend behind the cylinder head (left side of engine)

It's there. I'll take a look at the PCV hose, in my picture it looks like it's in front of the bracket. Good to know!
