2004 v70.
My 04, V70 on occasion, will put out a cloud of blue oil smoke for about the first 200 feet then stops. 95,000 miles on it. This happens after it has warmed up and parked for a bit. Odd. PCV system? Where do I find the PVC if it is the problem?

For PCV see on Youtube how to check. By 100k you are better off replacing it right away along with the timing belt if it's still the original oneé However the PCV doesn't puff usually
I would rather look for something else, maybe related to the turbo?

Thanks. I will look. Seems so strange. I would think the turbo leak would be permanent...

Never overheated. It always has run like a new car. Only 95,000 miles on it...

But my problem is that it happens on rare occasion. This last weekend it happened. Last time was last winter. I know well about valve seals. I was a foreign car mechanic in the 1970's. Iv'e owned about 45 vehicles in my life and fixed most of them myself. Many Volvos. This is a very odd problem and I don't want it to get worse. Thanks.

Just drive it and keep your oil change intervals tight with synthetic.
My 1999 turbo burns no oil but seeps about a liter per 2000 miles
About once a year, some oil leaks past the guides, once I came down Route 79 into a Ithaca , long downhill INC third gear, and when I Hit the bottom the entire Hill disappeared in a smoke screen. All the snowflakes in Ithaca passed their tofu burgers from the pollution.
Highly lubed over head cams And high compression will blow oil on occasion , when they get old
