I found the type of spark plug that was in my car, they needed to be changed. However, I don't know how good they were.
They were NGK R, blue lettering on the white porcelain, followed BKR6E in green lettering.
Also the mechanic found another as NGK R, with BKR7ES with a I I, all in blue lettering. The I I are below the BKR7ES.
Not sure why there were 2 different models of plugs in my car however.
Shouldn't spark plugs all be the same model for each piston?
These NGK's were replaced with these below, good/bad/average?

As someone who sticks to the Volvo branded spark plugs I can't advise on the NGK parts. I know others have used NGK but I don't know what versions they have used.
You are correct in that you should use the same type of spark plug in all cylinders. To do otherwise would be a cheapskate.
Neil.

NGK is premium brand of spark plugs Neil, along with EYQUEM(which Volvo use as O.E in triple prong version).I wrote about this last time i replaced spark plugs.I don't remember markings for NGK ones right now(which is also used as Volvo O.E) but i have it somewhere written down.
Correct ones for n/a would be BCPR6ES(NGK V-line) single prong as cheap copper ones.
They are a bit better than BKR6E.
