2015 V60 CEL is on, need code reader.......

So, our 2015 V60 is up around 60K miles now. The CEL came on this afternoon. I've not found any way to read the codes without some sort of reader or going to Autozone.....My question then is what code reader is a good one for this car? We plan on keeping it till my daughter starts driving in a couple of years, giving it to her and buying another one. So it's time to learn a few things since the closest indy shop is 50 miles away. And advice?

Get VIDA 2014D and a DiCE unit but, don't use the software that comes with the DiCE unit, use 2014D_RePack instead.

For the guys thinking what!???: VIDA 2014D was released in 2015, it does cover the 2014, 2015 & 2015A V60s.
