crank sensor connector disconnect

crank sensor connector disconnect

Having a problem disconnecting the wiring harness on the crankshaft sensor. I've included some pics. Looks like middle of plug should push down or down and back but it doesn't budge? Thanks

The three terraced piece (last pic) is depressed. Push inward first to relieve the pressure the rubber seal puts on the latch.
