Hello everyone, my name is Margarette and I am the latest addition to this wonderful community. Just like you I am also a car enthusiast. Driving serves us my escape whenever I feel sad or stress. I usually go on a road trip with my dog, the only problem is that he tend to leave furs all over my car since he is a Pomeranian. I am thinking of getting a pet carrier which he will used whenever we travel. Do you think that this product will help me with my dilemma? Are there any other tips that you guys can share with me?

June here, welcome! Yes you need a car seat. Check YouTube for crash test results on the brand you might buy. Surprisingly most dont protect your dog! Unlike child seats, dog seats have no federal regulations. Also consider the harness used if one is required, plastic hoops break in crash tests.
My S80 used to be my getaway zone when my children were growing up. So I totally understand the escape a car can give. Recently I even took my dog and car on a where the road takes us getaway and posted my trip here in the road trip section. So please share some photos there of the amazing places your Volvo takes you! The photo is Munchy my Yorkie in his seat driving in Arkansas on my trip. Sorry for the sideways photo. June

Inquiring dog minds want to see photos of your V60 and puppy! Especially the dog seat if you are using one. I have been looking at another style dog seat. The Rocketeer harness is the safest one on the market for small dogs. I want to order one for Munchy.
