Did anyone see the Wheeler Dealers episode from Wednesday with the 850 T-5R? I didn't get all the way through it (actually not past the first commercial, damn you Spectrum DVR!) but my cousin said they sold it for $14k! And they paid $7k to begin with, and from what I saw, my $300 V70R was in the same condition!
Seems the "clean 240" collectors/lunatics are starting to pay big for the T-5Rs. Better spiffy up my R so I can sell it for $25k!

I saw most of it. They did the PCV, turbo housing, plastic welded and repaired both bumper covers, new tail lights some other bodywork issues and perhaps a few other things I did not see or don't recall.

I saw it. Prices were pretty high but keep in mind the fact it's TV show. They did a great engine job but not so much to double the price. There was still cosmetic work to do.

They probably got a professional sales team in the background, that can locate somebody that got to have it ... or is reality TV where everything is staged?

That's true. My cousin said after I was shocked about the price that this one was nicer than any of my piles, but I have to say, my R is in better condition as that T-5R was in the beginning of the episode, and I only paid $300 for it! Granted it had a bad transmission, but it's still an R.
There's a BMW dealer/service center (not official BMW dealer) called Enthusiast Auto and they're widely known in the BMW community to sell the most overpriced BMWs out there. They're all I could think of after hearing Mike Brewer sold a P80 for $14k!
I'm sure this car couldn't have been as perfect as JRL's old 30k-mile S70 GLT SE, either!

Replaced a heater core recently, was leaking where the aluminum pipes meet the heater core "block" that gets crimped over the plastic. Small buildup that only I could smell. Replaced with a $60 Advanced auto el-cheapo to make it through this winter.

In order to learn how to fix something, you must first learn how to break it.

Maybe we should have a new thread: What did your kids do to your Volvo today?

Went for a haircut and found their latest handiwork. I'm curious to see how long it sticks around. (Pun intended.)

When we going to do the seat swap, Bruno? I’m down your way on the 30th but would need a crash place. For me, not my T5

On this lovely Sunday I decided to install my dashcam. It's real easy to hide the powercable and everything inside the S70. Usually I drive on the highway and man o man, I don't know how it is on British highways (actually, I watch some dashcammers who live in the UK and you also have a fair bit of pancakes), but in the Netherlands you have a lot of... pancakes*. Before the S70, I was driving an Opel Astra coupe and this summer I visited the Chech Replublic. When I stopped at a reststop, some pancake drove backwards into my Astra and then tried to pin it on me. I just pointed at the dashcam and the look on the guy's face. PRICELESS. So, yeah, the S70 is now equiped with an allseeing eye ;-)

*Pancake --> Pannekoek --> Dutch word for a dumb person.

How do you have your dashcam setup? Mine just came in, and I can't decide whether to tuck it behind the mirror or mount it on the center of the dash. How did you run/hide your power cable? Did you hardwire yours in or are you running off the cigarette lighter?
