White fuel smelling smoke

Alright I finally got my volvo c70 2.5t on start up everything was fine after a while a white fuel smelling smoke started to come out of the exhaust only a small amount the engine sounds like it's running rough it will not rev over 4000rpm the head gasket was just replaced this is the 1st time the car has run in long the engine does seem to be a bit hot but nothing out of the ordinary when I push the accelerator it shutters a little bit

Double check the coil pack wiring harness, make sure you got them connected in the correct order.

White smoke is steam (coolant or water), black smoke is unburnt fuel, blue smoke is oil. That's the general rule, at least.

Sounds like you either had some water in your exhaust pipes/silencer or there's a small leak somewhere - turbo coolant line, maybe?

In any case, Rick's advice is sound - if it's running rough and won't rev, coil packs should be first on the list.

Check the ground for the coil packs is has a clean surface and same for each coil pack. The wires are hard to get wrong for cylinders # 1 and #2. Most likely are 3 and 4 if they are wrong at all. Also check the plugs are fully home into the coils.

You could try disconnecting each coil pack and see if the engine runs any worse to ID if one is bad. Typically if a coil is bad it would throw a check light. Maybe see if someone has a decent scanner you can borrow to check for codes.

You could also pull each spark plug and see if any are sooted up (running rich), white (running lean) and wet (not running at all).

Also check all the injector connectors are fully home.

If nothing comes up, then maybe time to alsio check for connectors not fitted at some point or pipes not re-connected.
