Hi Guys,
I have 1996 Volvo 850 GLT.
This plastic 90 deg. conduit broke into many pieces. See below pics. It is located behind air intake filter cover.
I am trying to find a part number for it so that I can buy it from the dealer. I tried VIDA diagrams, but can't locate it. It has to be there, but for some reason I can't find it. Can you guys help me find a part number for it?
Thank you in advance.

You can go to a local parts store or “ FLAPS” and buy a rubber vacuum connector for cheap, off the shelf.
They don’t need to be the 90 degree ones..someone already replaced the other one with a straight one
It’s the connector for the thermostat in the air cleaner which regulates the vacuum to the control motor on the bottom of the air cleaner .

Thanks for the tip. I still want to find the Volvo part number for this part. It is better for me to just order it online together with other parts that I need, and have it delivered, than go to the store and try to explain to someone what I need. If I knew the part number for a suitable rubber substitute with correct inside diameters, I would order that one too.

Ok.. I found suitable genuine Volvo vacuum rubber connectors to use on both ends of that conduit. I had them in my parts box from years ago when I decided to replace all rubber stuff from engine bay and never used them... BUT, I still would like to know what the part number is for the original plastic connectors that came with the car.. I just want to know because I am stubborn and curious.. I emailed Volvo dealer and they couldn't figure it out either. I don't think this part is in any of the VIDA diagrams. Who can find it?

The 1999 version is 1332455
That might be the same part used in 1996. I couldn’t find the part listed in 1996 models either.

Junkyard is your friend here. There was someone else recently that was missing that part and I sent them a spare from my stash as it was from a non-turbo which I don't have any longer. The pipe loops down to the air thermostat on the intake air pipe to the air-box.

Abscate, that's a rubber connector. It is not the plastic.
The plastic connector broke into pieces when I squeezed it with my fingers. I wonder, what other parts in the engine bay are made of plastic and are about to break. Any ideas? I replaced the vacuum tree a few years ago. I suppose the plastic needs to be in contact with very hot air to deteriorate like that.

It fails like a cake - time and temperature.
The cold air motor doesn't see a lot of hot air in the air cleaner, neither does that plastic. But, twenty+ years of underhood degrades everything
