Oil Consumption '02 S60

What's normal to expect regarding oil consumption? My '99 V70 XC with 130K doesn't use a drop of oil between oil changes. (3-4K) Our '02 S60 T5 with 72K uses a quart (or more!) in the same period. The S60 is a manual transmission and is used mostly around town. It is driven by my wife who is a very conservative driver. If anything she tends to short shift. The V70XC is mostly used on the highway. I have a Volvo VIP warranty on the S60 until next April. Should I be concerned with this and ask Volvo to check it or is it just the nature of the (wilder) beast?
