Riding around in our safe Swedish bricks safety is assumed, but what about your dog? I noticed when I was looking at 2018 XC90 options a dog harness is offered factory.

I have decided to order the Rocketeer for my dog as a replacement for his current seat for riding in my S80. Check out these videos of dog crash tests and think about your pooch!

Munchy's Rocketeer harness came yesterday and these photos are first try today. It seems complicated at first, but is not. I'm in a service loaner so it's not my car in the photos. He is tolerating the harness quite well. The Rocketeer is heavy and I can see why it's safe! Worth every penny! June

Munchy looks very pleased..NOT.

The XC60 is a nice vehicle. SPA line is a great achievement for Volvo.

It was his first experience in the Rocketeer, he got used to it quickly.

And the best improvement is Autostart is optional on all 2019 Volvos!!!! Yayyyy!!!! There are nice improvements to the touchscreen for 2019 as well. I really liked not being annoyed with turning Autostart off every time I started the car. Really the whole car was impressive compared to the old XC60. Though the XC90 is what I will buy, it's more comfortable and has a kid pit! Kid pit is the third row of seats. June

Ok, got my S80 back and the harness fits perfectly. So here Munchy is in his Rocketeer in my car. I really hope this thread gets you out there to think about your pet's safety when riding. June

Abscate Right now Volvo stands for "I leak" rather than "I roll"! The variable timing hub sprung a leak all over the timing belt grrr. Eventually I hope they get around to fixing her. $3050.00 for new timing belt kit, water pump, thermostat, crank and cam seals, and both variable timing hubs. So I have been in a service loaner XC60 T6 for a week now. Driving this morning I felt so depressed 😞. I miss my S80... At least it accelerates like a T6 shoud😀!

I am sure these 2019 Volvos are safer than my 2004. There still is not a car made today that I would rather have/drive instead of my 2004 S80 T6. So no rolling this one! Or any wrecks! June
