My 1998 S70 has always had this issue. When turning right or left while signaling, after completing the turn I have to turn the steering wheel past center by about 10 degrees before the signal clicks off on its own. On every other car I've driven, the signal clicks off before the wheel gets back to center. Seems like something might be worn out.
Suggestions?
Turn signals turn off too late

Mine clicks off on dead center or doesn't click off at all. I think dead center is normal. 10 degrees past dead center might be an issue. I don't know if there is an adjustment for this.

In every other car I've driven the signal clicks of 10-30 degrees BEFORE you return to center.
Is this a Volvo thing? I have to turn the wheel past center in the opposite direction of the turn to click off the signal, or turn it off by hand.

No that is not normal. I'd remove the steering column covers behind the steering wheel and see if you can see what is happening with the spring levers on the turn signal lever.

Indicator cancelling problems are normally caused by a loose or broken airbag clock spring casing.
