Near Ohare Chicago Suburbs
For Sale $1,500.00
1993 Volvo 960 WAGON

This is my very special Volvo 960 wagon
Has backward facing seat/bench in rear of wagon enables for 7 passengers

I've been holding onto it as a back up car and maybe just to see if I can set a record for the cars original longevity, but that is silly. I think I should sell it

This car was built to last it still drives well and has a lot of luxury features
and
yes it does have imperfections as it is 25 years old
It has been driven as it should be driven.

If this car could talk it would have a lot of stories to tell. I wish the Swedes would begin manufacturing back in Sweden because they really know what they're doing...

Great looking example. And that load area!!

They're still manufacturing in Sweden. Geely has financial control of Volvo but they haven't yet dictated a new production country much to the relief of true Volvo aficionados.

That one looks a beauty; I drove the same 1993 wagon version for a couple of years. What a silky smooth engine!!

I love the 960. I'm actually on my 4th one. My 1st 2 960's were a '92 & a '94. Both wagons. I much prefer the wagon over the sedan. The '96 960 I drive now happens to be a sedan and in the middle of a heater core replacement. Replacement is scheduled for delivery tomorrow and the fun starts for reassembly. Don't know if you have an interest in a trade, but I'll swap you or anyone a sedan for 960 wagon trade. Great car I've owned for 5 years with detailed records. Only problem with my '96 is the simple fact that it is a sedan. That's it. Wagons to me is the WY to go. I have a '91 745 that the wife claims as her car. Owned it going on 10 years now.

I traded a beautiful rust free '95 945 for a Chicago 780. I just had to have that 780. It was very rusty, but I still drove it a couple of years. Other than the heavy rust it had a very nice all black interior and I made it into a fully functional, everything working car.

I'd imagine your 960 has a lot more rust prevention built into it. What I miss most on the '92-'94 960 over the later '95 + 960's is the front suspension and steering. Just seems more solid just like the 740 & 940 cars. The control arm bushing on the 95+ 960's is junk, even when replaced. A normal maintenance item on my '96 960.
