A few days ago I pulled out of the gas jumped on the gas, and the car shut off for a second, turned key, it started an ran for 2 minutes, then stalled again (all dash light went out). Waited a few, car started again, and took me a half mile. Parked car, and came back in three hours, started car and drove 15 miles home.
Long story short, did it again (all lights off, radio needed to be reset)before I could get down the driveway, started after a few minutes.
Now, its stuck 2 miles from my house, and nothing happens when the key is turned. Battery is charged, cables are not corroded. Have checked the forums, checked the manual, nothing seems to fit this problem. Have replaced the ignition switch some time ago. Thinking I should have it towed to the Volvo dealer.
Anyone have any ideas?
Key will not turn anything on

I believe there is a cable that goes between the battery and the main fuse box. I'd check this as they are known to go bad.

Shouldn't be hard to fault trace such a major voltage failure
Battery cable, clamp, battery internal, or bad ignition switch, expect ally of you didn't use a Volvo part

I put a voltage tester on main fuse terminal, and had voltage. Tested main relay and had voltage; removed ignition fuse to inspect and no visible breaks; put everything back and car mysteriously started. Drove home, but still don't know problem.

If you didn't use a Volvo ignition switch I would keep an eye on that. Aftermarket parts should be proven to be good , by assumed to be worthy
