oil again

I've been reading the scary posts about the oil consumption issues with these t5 motors. My 2012 has 52000+ miles on it and is out of warranty and I do my own work. It appears this is about when the problem begins to occur. So i'm assuming the dealer won't help. I have vida/ vice. I just replaced the oil filter assembly due to the common issue with that. So....am i going to get this bad rings/ oil consumption problem? The TSB I found doesn't say my vin is included,yet i see posts concerning 2015's, 2013's etc.
Does anyone have or had a2012 s60 t5 that did not have this problem? Man, i hope so.
And if you didn't, why would some have and some not....just curious.
