Has anyone installed a Carplay capable double din head unit in a P80? I will likely do one in this car as it has no way to hook up an auxiliary cable to play music etc. Any tips or product reviews appreciated.
Thanks,
Carplay Head Unit

I’ve been thinking about a double din unit from time to time. There a couple of Kenwood units that fit pretty perfectly - there’s a few YT videos of that floating around, so check that out. Not CarPlay, but it might give you an idea of the dimensions and the install kit you’d need.

I prefer the stock look but I can't deal with not being able to hook my phone up. My last new truck had Carplay but I ditched it because I hated the truck and picked up a cherry older truck to leave in the garage while I drive this car for daily duty.
I sometimes need to talk on the phone while driving for work so bluetooth carplay capabilities are very handing in the daily ride.
Will let everyone know what I end up doing and how well it works. Some of the new ones are getting reviews that rival OE options.

Heck yeah! I think I will go that route and retain the stock face. Aftermarket stuff looks tacky to me usually and from what I remember this car had a pretty excellent sound system as is.
Any personal experience with either of the two?
Thanks!
