Rivnut door/roofline?

Post by ktklobe »

Can anyone tell me what the rivnut in the roofline is for? I don’t know what the actual name for this part is, but it’s at ya top of the door frame 😶.

I was thinking it’s to help secure a bike rack, but my Q Clips don’t have a hole in them?

Thanks!

Roof rails and the accessories they make for them. Until CUV and SUV models took over, people in Europe used their cars as their trucks. An S60 with rails and lumber tied on was something I'd see regularly on visits to Sweden in the past if I was there over a weekend.

I figured it was for something like that. I was hoping my rack clips would fit, wishful thinking. Thank you!
