Auto Trans Fluid Cooler seal kit

1998 V70 2.4L NA

I had occasional trans fluid drips from the upper hose connection at the radiator. I got the seal kit from IPD. When I pulled the connection from the radiator there was only one O ring and one flat white ring on the connection. But the kit comes with more of the smaller O rings and a larger O ring that was not apparent anywhere. Are the unused rings perhaps for the bottom connection or maybe extra rings to make the kit universal?
