Volvo 850 trailing arm link FWD

For a while I've been hearing a clunking noise on the rear passenger side, I figured it was the shocks as the rear does ride pretty low, but just the other day I was driving down the road (a very dangerous cliff side road) and suddenly the car veered sharply to the right, I immediately pulled over, figuring it was either the shock or subframe, but it was in-fact the trailing arm link. The ball joint is shot and the bolt going up through the link and into the frame is likely somewhere on the side of the road; however, from the DIY's that I've seen, there appears to be a coloured part (looks like plastic) that drops from the frame and into the link to act as a spacer between the bolt and the balljoint within the link, well I do not see this on my car, it is likely to be with the bolt that resides in a ditch on the side of a road. My question is what should I do about this? I have the new link and bolt, and I've also 3d printed a high density spacer to take the place of this missing part, but I would rather not use 3d printed suspension components, is this part buyable? Is it welded to the car? Is there anyway I could fix this without using the 3d printed part?

All the rear suspension parts shown here are listed as available from Lisle - probably any Volvo outlet as well.

I can't recall any kind of spacer that is beyond the link itself. There is a bolt that holds the end link into the trailing arm and then the other bolt that hold the link to the chassis. I reuse the bolt that goes through the link to the chassis but the other bolt is more or less press fitted into the trailing arm and I have never been able to remove it without destroying it.

It's no worry, upon further inspection it appears as though when the chassis to end link bolt came out it took a piece of the frame with it
