I've owned my 960 sedan for 6 years. It's a white '96 960 sedan. Have extensive records during my ownership. Listing date, mileage and work/parts performed. Has right at 202K on the clock but you'd never know it as well as it drives. I'd take off today for a cross country drive.
The thing is, is that I love wagons much more than the sedan. In the 20+ years I've owned/driven Volvo's most have been wagons. The 960/V90 is my favorite RWD brick. It's the B6304 straight engine, smoothness and comfort. I do every bit of my own repairs, no one touchs any of my cars.
I also do have a '91 745 wagon that I've owned for 10 years if that suits you better than the 960. To me the 960 is a better car as this one is my 4th 960 over all these years.
If you'd consider a wagon for a sedan trade please let me know. This car is a maintained smooth cruiser. Ready right now for a coast to coast run. As I already mentioned, the wagon appeals much more to me than the sedan. This 960 is a fully functional car. Everything, and I mean everything works as it should. Thanks for reading/considering my offer. Dave
And my list shows what I've owned during my 20+ years. 240's, 740, 780, 940, 960's. The front/AWD Cars don't count. Due to a head and neck injury I just can't work on them. And the fact that there's just too many ongoing problems with them. Especially the limited space doing the timing belt. You can practically climb into the 960 and 740.
Let's trade. my '96 960 sedan for a 95+ 960/V90 wagon

My 960 is all original except for the wheels. The 960 wheels are just like a big dish. I changed them over to 16" 5 spoke Comet wheels. Or is it 16" Meteor wheels. They are exactly the same except one is 16" and the other a 17".
And the '91 745 is all original except for updated sway bars. A 24mm front from a '94 960. And since wagons didn't have a rear sway bar I added a 19mm from a turbo sedan. And added an expensive hard to find snow scoop. Also since it's not a turbo car has a nice set of 5 spoke Hydra wheels.
I love both cars. They're nice examples.

I just wrote an extensive write up description about both my cars, what they mean to me and the condition of both. At least one half an hour and very detailed. I will go into detail about what I've done in the past. I've made trades before and I've certainly lost out because I maintain and made my cars as if I'll never let them go.,
The main thing is I love wagons over sedans. I do have a 745 wagon and the only thing about my wagon is 2 things.
#1-it's not a turbo
#2-it's not a 960 or V90
I'll write up more about it tomorrow. Both my Volvo's are in very nice condition.

I own a beautiful white 1997 960 Wagon I might be willing to trade which I purchased about 3 years ago from the original owner. There are 264k miles on the clock, but it doesn't show it interior and bodywise. It has 4 brand new 80k mile Cooper radials on it. The previous owner garaged it since new, and the leather seats look like they have never been sat on. The tranny was just rebuilt last year...It does have one issue that is leaving me a little perplexed.....and I think it may be a loose or corroded wire that controls the speedometer .......You can drive the car at cruising speed on the Interstate with no problems, but once in a great while after making a right hand turn in town, the speedometer will stop working and the trans will not shift out of 1st gear. This has happened 2 times. The last time......I had it towed home....... started it the next morning and no problems since. Needless to say, I have restrained my travels to local driving only until the problem is addressed. The cel is on....but not throwing any codes.......You may know what it is.....I love Volvos...but I'm no mechanic....

Thanks 960guy for the response. I checked your profile to find your location. It says you're in AZ. I'm around Louisville Ky. There's a large span between us that's just too far. I appreciate the offer though. Dave
