just bought 2003 s40 1.9 remote control central locking
where is the release for the fuel refill flap?
have gone through owners manual and only reference to flap is in relation to central locking and yes i do feel stupid asking the question!

When the central locking is unlocked the fuel flap should also be unlocked, so if yours is not opening it is possible that the electric motor for the release is not working.
If you have just bought the car is it covered by a warranty? Replacing the motor can be a DIY job but needs the side panels in the luggage compartment removed. If you have a warranty let someone else do it. If not post back and we shall give instructions.
