850 Transmission Leak
850 Transmission Leak
I've been experiencing loss of power with my '96 850 Turbo. Replaced the spark plugs, cap and wires. Things were fine for a short period of time, but then the car started performing sluggishly again. Turns out I have a transmission fluid leak. We put the car up and it looks to be coming from two gaskets, one around the axle. Mechanic has given me an estimate of $500-600 to fix the leaks from the inside. Does this seem reasonable? Is ther any other way to fix leaks with disassembling the transmission?

The price you're being quoted is highway robbery unless there's something I'm missing.
