Also true. Regardless, the minerals in hard water are not good for engines. I always use distilled water when mixing with coolant.

The only time I'll use tap water is if I'm flushing out the cooling system.

Because you, fellow MVS readers, are among the few peiple who might care: I took my 96R for the first spin after winter/salt hibernation in my garage yeaterday I just have to say 'I love my R!' I hate the harsh suspension on bumpy potholed roads, and i don't like the AT when i want to be in a certain gear but the tranny just doesn't understand. But boy, is that a great ride overall ... Hoorray for the inline 5!

My poor R is rotting away in my driveway waiting for a Miata to sell. This awful rainy weather is deterring people from buying these cars! I mean, who actually wants to drive a convertible with the top down? I never do. At 6'2", I can't wear a hat to block the sun because the wind will take it right off my head. So my only option is to keep the top up if it's sunny.

Finally put on my new Michelin snow tires (185 65R15) on OE steel rims I bought a couple of months ago. I felt silly putting them on in unseasonably warm 50-degree weather, but this week's snow storm made it worth it. The ride seems slightly more jarring on narrower tires, but I don't mind.

My better half isn't crazy about the bare-rim look, but I kind of dig it!

Haha, I agree! Not a fan of steelies.

They can definitely look cool sometimes though.
