2005 V70 2.4 Help anti-skid low power tranny issue ?

Post by IslandV70 »

I went to start my car this morning and it just barely turned over like the battery was mostly dead. I thought I was going to have to drag out a charger but it - just barely - started. Then I got a message "Anti skid needs service" and it drove VERY slowly. I felt like getting over 45 MPH would hardly be possible. Where it usually says D (or W) next to the odometer just had a -. So to say the least I was not happy
I hit the "read the message button" and got rid of the display. By this time I got to the store and when I got back in the car it had no more messages and now it drives fine :?
What is going on here and how the **** is the tranny acting up connected to no power connected to a low battery connected to ABS issues, which also raises the question of why the battery was low. It is only about a year old and was fine yesterday.
No CEL involved either.

Most parts are fine the day before they break.

The low battery, on modern electronic cars, will cause all kinds of weird things tp happen.

Get it on a solid 10 Amp charger for a day to get a full charge and see if all the issues magically disappear.
