Banded steelies in an anthracite colour can look great. Stock steelies, in black....? Just awful.

Finally put on my new Michelin snow tires (185 65R15) on OE steel rims I bought a couple of months ago. I felt silly putting them on in unseasonably warm 50-degree weather, but this week's snow storm made it worth it. The ride seems slightly more jarring on narrower tires, but I don't mind.

My better half isn't crazy about the bare-rim look, but I kind of dig it!

That's kind of neat. Reminds me of the look budget Japanese cars had in the1980s.

I gave in and put on the OE hubcaps that came with the steelies. Slightly tamer, and maybe more fitting for my status as a suburban dad.

Wow, that really looks nice. I really like the black 850 look. The headlights are just a bit more... what's the word I'm looking for... more aggresive than the S/V70's look in my opinion.

So I'm hoping you all have a lovely Sunday. The weather in the Netherlands is a bit crazy. Today temperatures hit around 13 degrees Celcius. Normally this is the coldest time of winter in the Netherlands and I can know because it's my birthday in February and last year it was quite cold. Anyway, I was sitting at the pub today enjoying the weather and I decided to take some photos from the sparkplugs I took from my S70 a few weeks ago. I wanted to ask you guys a question about what you think of them when you see them (but forgot about it). Four out of the five had all white electrodes and as I recall correctly, white powdery substance on the electrodes can mean: a lean gas/air mixture, plugs that got too hot and something with the ignition timing (source: a teacher from my years in technical school and Google so feel free to correct me on that one). Quick question: do they look okay? I'm used to see a bit more gray/brownish look on used sparkplugs, not white.

Black? It's green! Clearly didn't clean it well enough!! I know what you mean about the look though, never got on with the front of the C/S/V70s, think it's the way the indicator looks.

Haha, I thought it looked green. I had to look again, I think it's the lighting in the picture. It looks good! I like the X70 door handles.

Oh wow, I had to turn off my nighttime filter on my laptop to see it's green haha, it doesn't matter, they both look good

Did a compression test. Got 190 on cylinders 1,2,3, and 5.

Got about 110 on cylinder 4. Increased to about 130 when wet.

I did this test just because I wanted to. I had no symptom of any kind of issue with the engine.

Now what? :\
