REAR alignments

2007 xc90 AWD. Chewed through a set of tires, worn on the inside edge, took it to a shop and found the rear trailing arms are damaged and the sway bar end links are worn. If I replace them, do I need an alignment? Is there even any adjustment on the rear of this vehicle?

If you look from under the back and towards the front of the car, there are two long horizontal bars that run from the center of the rear subframe to the wheel knuckles. Volvo refers to these as stays and the inboard bolts are eccentric to adjust the rear toe. I believe it's possible to adjust camber with a separately installed eccentric bushing. I recently replaced a right side stay in the '05, shop could not get the RR toe correct and you could see that it had been bent (daily driver was practicing accident avoidance, a few other parts got replaced as well). New stay and an alignment afterwards, car drives like its supposed to.

Yes, the damaged part is actually the "stay" per volvo, and that is what I have on order currently. So, the to is adjustable on this, but not the camber without the aftermarket eccentric bolt? So you would in fact recommend and alignment after replacing these, correct?

Replace whatever is broken and get a four wheel alignment. No need to worry about the camber bolt, I mention it as a matter of reference.
