Uploading an Avatar

I beleive, in my illiterate way, that I have figured out how to resize a photo of my 850 and I would like to upload it and have it attached to my profile. Unfortunately, I can't seem to figure out how to do that from the profile page. I looked around for some instructions here but came up empty. Anyone?

Here's why you can't find the uploader: there is none!

You can either A)

_resize the image to about the size of mine and others' here
_then upload it to http://imageshack.com
_then take that URL and paste it into your profile's avatar box

or B)

email me the image and I'll resize it and host it here. I've done it for several people here and it only takes a second. Max and anyone: I don't mind at all.
